Um.  Could you have tagged this with “abuse” or “ableism” or “people being douchebags” or something before putting it in the autism tag where, you know, autistic people can see it? I mean, I get that this probably pointless to ask, as this whole post seems rather cookie seeking and “look at me! I want to do physical harm to someone who is mean to a disabled person! What a good person I am!”  I’m not saying you’re a bad person, necessarily.  But you are ignorant to an extent.  And giving him the “biggest, tightest hug possible” would have likely triggered anxiety for him.  Be glad you didn’t - you might have caused a meltdown and made the experience WORSE for him.

I apologize if you were offended. I should have thought about that before tagging it as only “autism”. So yes, I will change the tags. But, as for the rest, you don’t need to be snarky and rude. I only said that I wanted to slap this woman and hug this man, not that I did. Want and actually doing are completely different. Everyone is ignorant to an extent about everything unless you know first hand what it is like to experience whatever it may be. There is a little bit of room for ignorance, as long as you do not use it to hurt people. This is merely me voicing my opinion, that I believe that EVERYONE should be treated equally. That was all. I would say the same thing about a person of different ethnicity or sexual orientation. Being autistic has nothing to do with it. Getting upset over something I witnessed only determines whether or not I have a heart. It does not determine whether or not I am a good person. Therefore, I don’t need to “cookie seek”. I understand that it frustrates you but if you don’t like what I post, nothing is telling you to reblog it. Just scroll past…

Or you could actually give a shit about autistic people.  You know.  Whatever suits you.
Your actions are what prove to me that you’re not cooking seeking.  And, well…your response to this is pretty obvious as to how you feel about autistic people.  You like us and pity us and feel sorry for us, and you know, wish to initiate an inappropriate action (hugging an autistic person without their consent).  But I notice that you don’t mention that you actually DID anything to combat the bullying.  You just sat back.  So, no, I’m not going to expect much from you, and you can stfu about how “mean” I am.

OMFG.  Can I steal that gif? Because it’s amazing.

of course. it came from Tumblr and it should come back to Tumblr.
because “THEY ARE JUST LIKE YOU OR I”
Hey guess what? “THEY” can hear you! right now! Even though you’re talking ABOUT THEM!
