[tw: racism, police violence, police brutality] What Ten Minutes on Google Can Do

I’ve had a few requests for the list of people killed by police I attached to a different post.

racismschool has many more links and a comprehensive rundown on their page, including this list of people killed by police JUST THIS YEAR so far.

Every single name listed here is an unarmed Black person killed by police unless otherwise noted.

Here’s a starter story about a small fraction of unarmed young black men shot by police including

  • Aaron Campbell
  • Alonzo Ashley
  • Amadou Diallo
  • Ervin Jefferson
  • Orlando Barlow
  • Oscar Grant
  • Ousmane Zongo
  • Patrick Dorismond
  • Ramarley Graham
  • Ronald Madison and James Brissette
  • Steven Eugene Washington
  • Timothy Stansbury
  • Travares McGill
  • Victor Steen
  • Wendell Allen

also

And here are a few children shot by police:

Shot by “vigilantes”:

Chavis Carter was shot in the head while handcuffed in the back of a police car, and his death ruled “a suicide”.

Every 40 hours a Black person in America is killed by the police.

In California the violence often extends to Latinos.

In fact the police will attack you even when they’re off-duty for “being in the wrong neighborhood”.

In fact, if you’re a 68-year-old veteran who’s MedicAlert bracelet goes off by mistake, the cops will break into your house and shoot you to death.

This is by no means a comprehensive list of men, women, and children shot by police.

THIS IS WHAT I FOUND IN TEN MINUTES USING GOOGLE.

Ignorance is no excuse.
